Integration of Islamic & Modern Education
Okasha High School's unique educational approach combines the National Circular Curriculum with a comprehensive Islamic Theology Curriculum. This dual system ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for academic success while developing strong Islamic values.
Our philosophy is that Islamic education and modern academic education are not mutually exclusive but complementary. We believe that knowledge ('Ilm) and faith (Iman) should go hand in hand in the development of a complete individual.
Teaching Methodology
Our teaching methodology emphasizes:
- Moral Framework: Islamic values provide the ethical foundation for all academic pursuits.
- Scientific Inquiry: Science is taught as a means to appreciate Allah's creation.
- Critical Thinking: Students are encouraged to think critically within an Islamic worldview.
- Service to Humanity: Education is seen as a means to serve the community and uphold justice.
Assessment & Evaluation
Both curricula are assessed through regular examinations, continuous assessment, and practical evaluations. For the Islamic curriculum, assessment includes Quran recitation and memorization tests, Arabic language proficiency assessments, Islamic knowledge examinations, and character and conduct evaluation.
The circular curriculum follows standard UNEB assessment methods with internal examinations throughout the year.
